Bacterial cellulose production from acerola industrial waste using isolated kombucha strain

چکیده
Bacterial Cellulose (BC) production is still considered expensive and challenging for industries. Herein, BC was produced through an acetic acid bacteria isolated from the kombucha consortium extract acerola juice-industrial waste. The bacterium characterized different assays (biochemical characterization 16S rRNA gene) being identified as Komagataeibacter rhaeticus. with static cultivation mode by strain compared using traditional Hestrin-Schramm (HS) medium waste (AC) (5% w/v). kinetic behavior of slightly higher in HS reaching 2.9 g/L after 12 days fermentation, while 2.3 AC medium. Minor differences were observed between crystallinity, crystallite size, d-spacing, highlighting two-fold breaking stress resistance to conventional medium, high-temperature stability economically feasible, promissory results further application this synthesized cellulose obtained industrial residues.

متن کاملProduction of bacterial cellulose and enzyme from waste fiber sludge
BACKGROUND Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a highly crystalline and mechanically stable nanopolymer, which has excellent potential as a material in many novel applications, especially if it can be produced in large amounts from an inexpensive feedstock. Waste fiber sludge, a residue with little or no value, originates from pulp mills and lignocellulosic biorefineries. A high cellulose and low ligni...

The purpose of this study was to utilize low quality date syrup, a rich and available source of nutrient in Iran, for the production of bacterial cellulose using Gluconacetobacter xylinus. Static batch fermentationfor the purpose of cellulose production by G. xylinus (PTCC, 1734) was studied using low quality date syrupand sucrose solution (Bx. 10%) as fermentation media at 28°C. Re...
متن کاملPhenol biodegradation by bacterial strain O-CH1 isolated from seashore
phenol and phenolic compounds are among the most recognized environmental pollutants which exist in industrial wastewater and enter the biological cycles due to the solubility in water. Bioremediation is one of the cost-effective and Eco-friendly methods for phenol removal. In this study, the most effective phenol-degrading bacterial strain was isolated and identified from the shores of the Oma...
